As I child there was nothing more exciting to me than to get a brand new box of crayons. I can still smell them.

I have enjoyed drawing and colouring for as long as I can remember. Crayons were an integral part of my youth and development as an artist. Crayola was the brand of choice because they had a better pigment to wax ratio than other brands (brighter colours).

Getting a colouring book with my box of crayons was a bonus, but as long as I had paper to draw on I was happy.

Who am I kidding!? I still love a new box of crayons! Just taking a whiff of that waxy goodness takes me back to my youth and a simpler time when sitting down to draw or colour was the most wonderful thing in the world.
