Pen and Ink
This is in my little purple Moleskine. I am working on improving my pen and ink work. I am not thrilled with this pieces, but it really does look like Dexter.
I especially like the parrot. Sometimes it's harder, I think, to get expressive faces on animals, maybe because the emotional cues are different than humans.
Thanks, Nicola! My husband says that I capture Dexter's personality in the portraits I do of him. He says he can tell when I draw Dexter as opposed to when I draw other parrots. Dexter is a funny boy, full of mischief and adventure.
