Ana's Ramblings & Art Corner: Girlish Giggles
Ana's Ramblings & Art Corner: Girlish Giggles: Girlish Giggles 8" x 10" Coloured Pencil on Paper Laura is giggling at something Anthony said. She is crazy about him. This was to...
It's almost scary, how lifelike this is! the use of light, the shadows, the smooth shades, the girls expression... it's all just perfect. I love it how here clothes look chocolaty, and that red strawberry pops out.
This is probably my best piece, to date. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I was so afraid I would not be able to capture that look of mischievous glee, but, in the end, I did manage it.
She and my husband are great friends and he had called her "a monkey that belongs in a zoo" and she then said he was a "bum-bum", which in her mind is a swear word and she is not permitted to call people that, so she was giggling that she got away with it.
I love this little girl. If I had a daughter, I would hope she was very much like Laura: sweet, mischievous-in-a-good-way, curious, bright, strong-minded, adorable, and scary intelligent.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment and for your positive and encouraging comment. I really appreciate it.
Wow.
