Reading is my other great pleasure. I enjoy it so much that I run an online book club. Because I keep a fairly busy schedule, albeit, self imposed, I save my pleasure reading for bedtime. I set a timer for 30 minutes and read, usually on one of my eReaders.  If I do not set a timer I end up reading far longer than I intend. The electronic readers are easier to hold in bed, and the light is strong enough to read but not strong enough to bother Anthony while he sleeps.

I love that I can change the font size for my aging eyes, and that I can read a huge tome without my hands cramping up.

Every Day Matters #9 - Draw Organized Chaos

There is a bin near my corner of the sofa where I have a bunch of art supplies, books, and electronic gadgets set up, on top of of the bin. This is where I draw my sketchbook sketches, when I am at home. It is also where I watch television (not pictured) and do some of my artwork.

Here you are seeing some coloured pencils (back), some books, some pens, my HP Touchpad (it is on a stand so I can sit up for me to view), some miscellaneous art supplies, and my little palate shaped tin that I keep my kneaded eraser.

642 THINGS TO DRAW - A Drawing Journal

642 Things to Draw
Designed by Eloise Leigh © 2010 by Chronicle Books

I purchased this book last time I was at Chapters with My Sweetie!

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I enjoy drawing. A couple years ago I came across Danny Gregory's book An Illustrated Life and the Every Day Matters web group.

Recently I completed the Every Day in May Drawing Challenges.

So, when I came across this book in Chapters it was no surprise that I wanted it. I will admit, it took three visits to Chapters before I gave in and purchased it.

Each page has one to four sections to draw in, and each section has a word or phrase that you are to draw in that section.

I jumped right it and started drawing like crazy. I'll be posting the actual drawings, here, on this blog. Pen and Ink are a bit of a challenge for me so I will try to do the majority of my drawings in pen and ink in this book.  I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I enjoy drawing them.
